This policy covers cassaprep.com — an informational decision tool about California's software / SaaS sales-tax change (SB 122). We designed this site so that using the decision tool itself collects nothing: the questions and answers stay entirely in your browser and are never transmitted or logged.
What we collect — and why
We collect only what you voluntarily give us, and only for the purpose you gave it.

What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for money or anything of value — including for targeted advertising, profile building, or cross-context ads.
- We do not collect, process, or store anything you enter into the decision tool.
- We do not use cookies that track you across sites.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
We don't "share" personal information in the CCPA/CPRA sense either (no joint-use, no selling, no sharing for advertising). There is no data broker, no ad network, and no monetization of your contact details — now or planned. The only third party that processes your email is the email delivery provider hosting our outbound mail (Resend), which is contractually bound to use it solely to deliver what you requested.
Your California rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how it's used.
- Access a copy of that information.
- Delete your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — a right you have today, and which we honor by simply never selling or sharing.
- Non-discrimination: we won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
We also recognize opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where supported.
How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] from the address you used to join. We'll respond within the period California law requires. If you ever decide you're done, that's it — one message and your email is gone.
Retention
We keep your email only while the checklist program and relevant deadlines (through the effective date and reasonable follow-up) are active, and delete it on request or when it's no longer needed for that purpose.
